He Was Beaten and Bruised For Me

20130331-193755.jpg

Jesus is brought before the Sanhedrin and Caiphus, the High Priest; He is spat upon and struck in the face.

20130331-193901.jpg
In the early morning, battered and bruised, dehydrated, and exhausted from a sleepless night, Jesus is taken to Pontius Pilate and Pilate condemns Jesus to scourging and crucifixion.

20130331-194012.jpg
Preparations for the scourging were carried out when the Prisoner was stripped of His clothing and His hands tied to a post above Jesus is whipped with a flagrum. This is a short whip consisting of several heavy, leather thongs with two small balls of lead attached near the ends of each. The heavy whip is brought down with full force again and again across Jesus’ shoulders, back, and legs. At first the thongs cut through the skin only. Then, as the blows continue, they cut deeper into the subcutaneous tissues, producing first an oozing of blood from the capillaries and veins of the skin, and finally spurting arterial bleeding from vessels in the underlying muscles.

20130331-194121.jpg

The small balls of lead first produce large, deep bruises which are broken open by subsequent blows. Finally the skin of the back is hanging in long ribbons and the entire area is an unrecognizable mass of torn, bleeding tissue. The Roman soldiers throw a robe across His shoulders, place a stick in His hand, and a crown make of branches covered with long thorns is pressed into His scalp. Again there is copious bleeding, the scalp being one of the most vascular areas of the body.

After mocking Him and striking Him across the face, the soldiers take the stick from His hand and strike Him across the head, driving the thorns deeper into His scalp. Finally, the robe is torn from His back. Already having adhered to the clots of blood and serum in the wounds, its removal causes excruciating pain, and almost as though He were again being whipped the wounds once more begin to bleed.

The heavy patibulum of the cross is tied across His shoulders. In spite of His efforts to walk erect, the weight of the heavy wooden beam, together with the shock produced by copious blood loss, is too much. He stumbles and falls. The rough wood of the beam gouges into the lacerated skin and muscles of the shoulders.
Simon of Cyrene is commanded to carry the cross. Jesus follows, still bleeding and sweating the cold, clammy sweat of shock, until the 650 yard journey from the fortress Antonia to Golgotha is finally completed.

20130331-194718.jpg

Jesus quickly thrown backward with His shoulders against the wood. The legionnaire feels for the depression at the front of the wrist. He drives a heavy, square, wrought-iron nail through the wrists and deep into the wood. Nails driven through the palms will strip out between the fingers when made to support the weight of the human body. Anatomists, both modern and ancient, have always considered the wrist as part of the hand.

The left foot is now pressed backward against the right foot, and with both feet extended, toes down, a nail is driven through the arch of each, leaving the knees moderately flexed. The Victim is now crucified. As He slowly sags down with more weight on the nails in the wrists excruciating pain shoots along the fingers and up the arms to explode in the brain — the nails in the wrists are putting pressure on the median nerves. As He pushes Himself upward to avoid this stretching torment, He places His full weight on the nail through His feet. Again there is the searing agony of the nail tearing through the nerves between the metatarsal bones of the feet.

20130331-194859.jpg
At this point, as the arms fatigue, great waves of cramps sweep over the muscles, knotting them in deep, relentless, throbbing pain. With these cramps comes the inability to push Himself upward. Hanging by his arms, the pectoral muscles are paralyzed and the intercostal muscles are unable to act. Air can be drawn into the lungs, but cannot be exhaled. Jesus fights to raise Himself in order to get even one short breath. Finally, carbon dioxide builds up in the lungs and in the blood stream and the cramps partially subside. Spasmodically, he is able to push Himself upward to exhale and bring in the life-giving oxygen.

Hours of limitless pain, cycles of twisting, joint-rending cramps, intermittent partial asphyxiation, searing pain where tissue is torn from His lacerated back as He moves up and down against the rough timber. Then another agony begins…A terrible crushing pain deep in the chest as the pericardium slowly fills with serum and begins to compress the heart.

It is now almost over. The loss of tissue fluids has reached a critical level; the compressed heart is struggling to pump heavy, thick, sluggish blood into the tissue; the tortured lungs are making a frantic effort to gasp in small gulps of air. The markedly dehydrated tissues send their flood of stimuli to the brain.

Finally, Jesus cries, “Father! Into thy hands I commit my spirit.” I wanted to paint the picture of what Christ suffered for me and you, with a heavy heart and grateful heart, I could never imagine my life with out Christ, the love He has for us we should love Him more and more and more! How can we read and see the suffering He did for us all and not want to give Him all of your self, it should be nothing He ask of us that we don’t do or give. I love Him and I am so thankful He got up, He got up for me, for you.. Glory to His Name!!!

Stop Trying To Work Things Out

20130329-001801.jpg
STOP TRYING TO WORK THINGS OUT before their times have come. Accept the limitations of living one day at a time. When something comes to your attention, ask Me whether or not it is part of today’s agenda. If it isn’t, release it into My care and go on about today’s duties. When you follow this practice, there will be a beautiful simplicity about your life: a time for every thing , and every thing in its time.

A life lived close to Me is not complicated or cluttered. When your focus is on My Presence, many things that once troubled you lose their power over you. Though the world around you is messy and confusing, remember that I have overcome the world. I have told you these things , so that in Me you may have Peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

I Am A God That Gives

20130329-001411.jpg
I AM A GOD WHO GIVES and gives and gives. When I died for you on the cross, I held back nothing; I poured out My Life like a drink offering. Because giving is inherent in My nature, I search for people who are able to receive in full measure. To increase your intimacy with Me, the two traits you need the most are receptivity and attentiveness. Receptivity is opening up your innermost being to be filled wit My abundant riches. Attentiveness is directing your gaze to Me: searching for Me in all your moments. It is possible to stay your mind on Me, as the prophet Isaiah wrote. Through such attentiveness you receive a glorious gift: My Perfect Peace

Philippians 2:17 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.

Mark 10:15 15 Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”

Isaiah 26:3 “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace,
Because he trusts in You.

Just Caught In Life

Resist Temptation

20130327-182927.jpg

Resist temptation, die to the flesh and walk in the Spirit. Keep your head up, looking to the mountains. This is where your help comes from. Trust in Me and I will give you strength far beyond the natural and do for you what you cannot do for yourself. It is then you will experience a river of blessings. Blessings will pour down from the mountains overtaking you, giving you peace in your soul and a song of joy in your heart.

Psalms 125:2 (AMP) “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from this time forth and forever.” Bev Robinson

God Has A Plan for us all

20130326-224006.jpg
God has a Plan for every single person’s life. We were all born with a Divine Destination! But it is also our Free Will & responsibility to Look To God to be Our “Compass” and Our Guide… directing our footsteps to travel the paths of the “customized plan” He created for each of us. When you fall off that path, you will find yourself in the “I can’t… I wish… If only I could…” state of mind, instead of the “I CAN… I WILL… I KNOW…”, more CONFIDENT person that God intends you to be.

Be Still

20130326-223635.jpg
BE STILL IN MY PRESENCE, even though countless tasks clamor for your attention. Nothing is as important as spending time with Me. While you wait in My Presence, I do My best work within you: transforming you by the renewing of your mind. If you skimp on this time with Me , you may plunge headlong into the wrong activities, missing the richness of what I have planned for you.

Do not seek Me primarily for what I can give you. Remember that I , the Giver, am infinitely greater than any gift I might impart to you . Though I delight in blessing My children, I am deeply grieved when My blessings become idols in their hearts. Anything can be an idol if it distracts you from Me as your First Love. When I am the ultimate Desire of your heart, you are safe from the danger of idolatry. As you wait in My Presence, receive the greatest gift of all: Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Roman2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.s 12:2

Revelation 2:4
4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Colossians 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Waiting

20130325-220312.jpg

WAITING ON ME means directing your attention to Me in hopeful anticipation of what I will do. It entails trusting Me with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself. Waiting on Me is the way I designed you to live, all day, every day. I created you to stay conscious of Me as you go about your daily duties.

I have promised many blessings to those who wait on Me: renewed strength, living above one’s circumstances, resurgence of hope , awareness of My continual Presence. Waiting on Me enables you to glorify Me by living in deep dependence on Me, ready to do My will. It also helps you to enjoy Me; in My Presence is fullness of Joy.

Lamentations 3:25-26 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.
26 It is good that he waits silently
For the salvation of the Lord.

Isaiah 40:31 Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.

Psalm 16:11 You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

God knows

20130325-043349.jpg
There isn’t ANYTHING You Have Been Through, that God is not aware of. He has kept count of Every Tear You’ve Shed… He has “suffered” right along with you and He Knows the Pain You Are Feeling. Your FAITHFULNESS will not go unrewarded, and He Won’t Disappoint You… Get Ready For A Brand New Beginning! Count it all joy when you are found in a place in life where your trying to figure out what is really going on. When you feel like all you can do from day to day is just pull your self to hold on, trying not let go of all you have left in you to fight.. I have found my self there more than enough times I lost count. I had to remember that my life was not my own, I had to remember that I gave my life away long time ago, when I excepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. The Lord knew what was best for me, He knew what I could take and could not take, it did not always feel good to me, yes I cried more than I could count… But weeping may endure for a night but Joy comes in the morning… I had to wait on my morning and in waiting I had to find the joy in knowing that I served a God who is more able and can do the impossible, especially when I could not even see my own way out!! Rejoice when your in this place in your life because your about to experience a moment with God that will change your out look on what ever you are dealing with. I don’t know who I posted this for I have a few people in my spirit as I hear the Holy Ghost speak to me, my brother my sister your God knows your hurting and His love is a balm to the wounded and broken area’s of your life, when you can’t speak a word and all you can do is let the tears fall down your face, He knows that language to. You stop letting the enemy lie to you and making you believe your alone, I am reminded of the story about the footprints in the sand… When things where good you saw to sets of footprints, but when things got bad and hard, there was only one set of footprints, this is where you may felt all alone, but no that is where He was the closes to you… It was there when He carried You!! Look up and know your more than a conqueror more than, you speak your way out!! Use your creative force to force your situation to change, watch your words. What are you saying over your self? Over your family over your health over your children over your finances? Don’t you allow your own words to give satan rule over you, he is a liar and always will be, stop sitting back and taking it, you cause that lying dog to raise up off you and all that concerns you… You hate him with every ounce of your being and feed him God’s word and watch him run like the coward he is! Rejoice Rejoice it’s truly a new Beginning for You!!!!🙏❤
